This optional section of our website was created for customers to use as a guideline when submitting photographs to HIR. A digital camera with a built-in card reader having 1.0 to 2.0 mega pixels or more is common for customers taking photos of their purchased materials (The Photographers Right).

HIR will incorporate a series of rigorous filtration levels on the photograph submitted including scale, lighting and texture. Unfortunately, our filtration system does have a limit on photograph improvement. The customer should use good judgment when taking photographs. For example, taking a colored photograph on a sunny day as opposed to a rainy day is highly recommended. Maintenance on a digital camera is crucial as well. The digital camera should be in good working order with little or no defects. To give the customer a budgeting idea, the digital camera used to take the below photograph was purchased for $130.00.

Customers may also request SCHEME CHANGES at HIR. Notice how the graphics remain the same but the masonry changed composition. At a reasonable fair price, customers can substitute different types of materials and apply them to the original "one-time-only" graphics rather than HIR recreating the graphics from scratch. This is why HIR stresses the importance of "FINAL" submittal and selection of graphics, drawings, materials and colors throughout the website in an attempt to save money for the customer.

The customer should be made aware that not all materials need to be photographed. Those materials that are unique and infinite in design should be photographed using an ordinary digital camera which produces .JPG files for computer use. This includes but is not limited to, masonry, wallpaper, ceramic tile and linoleum just to name a few patterned materials. HIR already has a vast database of common materials and color which is why we have customers completely fill out and sign the "FINAL MATERIAL AND COLOR SELECTION FORM" in addition to the " FINAL PHOTO ORDER FORM."
