Our custom product CD for your interior project contains ten (10) interior color renderings. Each CD disc surface is color digitized with our company logo as shown above. In addition, each CD will be custom encased in a professional single premium CD jewel case depicting our company rendering image (similar to our web-site Home Page). For each scheme or graphic change the customer will receive a new color digitized CD with ten (10) new .BMP files per room plus a bonus panoramic QUICKTIME® file which can be played on Windows® or Mac® QUICKTIME® or REALTIME® versions. QUICKTIME® files can be paused and printed at a fixed eye-level angle in any 360 ° direction increasing the quantity of printing files.

Construction material decisions can be made from the convenience of your own home. No need to setup design appointments. HIR brings to your home uncompressed .BMP files which we believe are the easiest files that can be read by Windows or Mac with almost any image viewer program. However, our renderings are of the highest quality. We recommend the minimum computer requirements:

  • Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0 or Windows XP Professional Edition
  • Pentium based or AMD Athlon XP 2400+ or faster processor
  • RAM - 1024 MB or more
  • 32-bit Video Card (64MB recommended)
  • 3GB or more free disk space
  • DVD, CD: 24X or more
  • High Speed Cable Internet

From our experience and our completed projects in the Greater Houston Area, the average typical Home Improvement project ranges from $10,000 to $50,000. Through our vast research on multiple web-sites and continuous phone conversations with our competitors, we found the average price for one (1) individual-interior -still color rendering to be priced from $400 to $1200.

Screen resolution plays an intricate role in depicting the customer's home improvement project on our product CD. For example, a 640 × 480 is considered a low screen resolution because the screen view is relatively small. On the other hand, a 1600 × 1200 is considered a higher screen resolution because the screen view is relatively large. CRT monitors (or non-flat screens) generally display a standard, if not a maximum resolution of 1024 × 768.

The 1024 x 768 standard resolution is preferred by many people regardless if a CRT or LCD monitor is used ( http://www.onestat.com/html/aboutus_pressbox14.html ) . Home Improvement Renderings believes the standard 1024 x 768 resolution will help the customer in choosing the best home improvement color and material selections for their respective home improvement projects. To save internet downloading time for our dial-up customers, HIR has created only one 1024 x 768 standard image (created from a 17-Inch LCD monitor) in our Photo Gallery section of our website whereas the viewing size will vary depending on the customer's computer/monitor output capability. If the 1024 x 768 rendering in the Photo Gallery section of our website is clear and visible on the customer's computer regardless of the customer's viewing capacity, then the customer should have no problem viewing multiple rendering .BMP files from our product CD.

On the other hand, LCD monitors (or flat screens) can better support the higher resolutions or larger viewing images. This means Home Improvement Renderings can increase the size of rendering .BMP files so that the rendering covers the entire screen for those customer's possessing LCD monitors. Whether you can increase or decrease your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have (http://www.fotofinish.com/resources/centers/photo/resolution.htm).

After the customer purchases our services through pay-pal, several trial e-mails will be sent to the customer with .BMP attachments once the rendering is finalized. The customer will then recommend to Home Improvement Renderings the best screen view to display which will either be a standard 1024 x 768 ( CRT or LCD monitor) or a custom screen resolution ( LCD monitor) . Once the screen resolution is decided, Home Improvement Renderings will begin creating all pertinent .BMP files on our product CD .

Our renderings are solely for conceptual purposes only. Therefore, there is no set specific scale (i.e. ¼", ½", ¾"). Before our product CD is mailed (certified) to the customer at no charge, one (1) or more perspective e-mail(s) with an attached .BMP file(s) will be sent to the customer for approval purposes. Although we recommend High Speed Cable Internet when sending .BMP files for approval purposes, the customer can accept .BMP files via dial-up. However, the approval downloading time is far longer with dial up than with cable. Fortunately, dial-up customers will have no problem viewing our .BMP files on CD because their hard drive will govern the viewing speed of our .BMP files rather than the phone (or cable) line. Bear in mind, the e-mail .BMP files will only revolve around the FINAL MATERIAL AND COLOR SELECTION FORM and FINAL PHOTO ORDER FORM which the customer will already have signed, authorized and faxed to Home Improvement Renderings.
